About

A working scientist with an eye for rigorous publishing.

I am a senior biomedical scientist at the Center for Thrombosis and Hemostasis (CTH), University Medical Center Mainz, where I have worked in the group of Prof. Katrin Schäfer since 2013. My research centres on endothelial cell biology, thrombosis and hemostasis, vascular aging and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH).

I earned my PhD at the University of Bristol studying ephrin-B2 signaling in endothelial cell motility, and held a postdoctoral position at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine in Münster. I have published 36 peer-reviewed papers, 10 of them as first author — including articles in Circulation Research and JCI Insight where my confocal image was chosen for the journal cover — and I have reviewed manuscripts for several international journals since 2018.

Designing studies, analysing data, writing manuscripts and reviewing the work of others has given me a sharp sense of what makes a publication rigorous, clear and credible. I now offer that experience directly to researchers and teams who want their science to meet the highest standards.
